About Us: History
PRALID was founded by the mother of a young man with a brain injury who was unable to find adequate residential and rehabilitative services for him. The agency expanded to a network of families including brain injury survivors and individuals with developmental disabilities that had similar challenges in finding appropriate services. As PRALID has grown and evolved over time, the original spirit in which the agency was created has flourished and expanded. The agency now offers alternative choices for individuals with Autism and people who are nursing home eligible but wish to remain in the community.
